Please read these terms and conditions carefully before submitting your sell order from our site. You should understand that by submitting an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and our terms of use.

How The Contract Is Formed Between You And Us
Our site is only intended for use by people registered with us and resident in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. At our complete discretion we may accept or reject orders from people outside of these territories.
Your contract with us will be formed when we receive your sell order. It will incorporate these terms and conditions and our terms of use. Please click on the “How It Works” page for more information.
You must own all rights, title and interests in any Dyson devices that you send to us.
Ownership of the device(s) will pass to us only when:
- We have physically received the device(s);
- The device(s) have been inspected by us; and
- We have dispatched payment to you,
and only at that point shall ownership transfer and the contract be fully executed.
Until such time as ownership transfers, all risk in the device(s) remains with you.
The contract between you and us is binding on you and us and on our respective successors and assigns.
You may not transfer, assign, charge or otherwise dispose of a contract, or any of your rights or obligations arising under it, without our prior written consent.
We may transfer, assign, charge, sub-contract or otherwise dispose of a contract, or any of our rights or obligations arising under it, at any time during the term of the contract.
You may cancel the contract with us at any time up to the time when you send us the device (“cooling-off period”), providing:
- the contract was negotiated and concluded exclusively by means of distance communication (including, but not limited to letter or email); and
- you are a natural person acting outside the purposes of any business.
When cancelling during the cooling-off period, you need not give us any reason for cancelling the contract, nor will you have to pay any administration charges.
To cancel the contract you must notify us in writing.
Other than if the device does not meet our terms and conditions (see below), this contract cannot be cancelled after you have sent your device(s) to us (outside the “cooling-off period”).
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE HAPPY TO SEND THE DEVICE(S) TO US AND THAT IT IS WITHIN YOUR RIGHTS TO DO SO.
Consumers
By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
- You are resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland; and
- You are accessing our site from that country; and
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract; and
- You are at least 18 years old.
If you deal as a consumer any provision of this contract which is of no effect to a consumer shall not apply. Your statutory rights are not affected by this contract.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, “consumer” means an individual who neither makes this contract in the course of a business, nor holds himself out as doing so, as defined by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
Businesses
By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
- You are authorised to act on behalf of the registered business; and
- You are based in Great Britain or Northern Ireland; and
- You are accessing our site from that country; and
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
Appliances
These include the following Dyson product categories: Airblade, Airwrap, Cordless Vacuums, Fans and Purifiers, Hairdryers, Headphones, Lamps, Robot Vacuums and Straighteners. All other products listed or implied on our site will also fall under appliances.
The appliance must match the exact make and model selected in the sale order.
The condition category selected at the time of booking is a seller estimate only and is not binding on us. Final grading is determined solely at our discretion following full physical inspection upon receipt.
We reserve the right to refuse, reclassify, regrade or reject any appliance that:
- Does not match the make or model selected;
- Is not listed on our website at the time of booking;
- Falls outside our current purchasing categories;
- Has been materially misdescribed;
- Is a model we do not currently purchase.
Where an appliance is received that is not listed on our website at the time of booking, we may at our sole discretion:
- Offer a revised valuation; or
- Require payment of the return fee prior to returning the appliance; or
- Decline to purchase the appliance.
We are under no obligation to purchase appliances not listed on our website.
Condition Definitions
Each Dyson appliance sold should match the make and model in the sale order and meet the following conditions:
Grading assessments include, but are not limited to:
- Cosmetic presentation
- Visible wear
- Scratches, scuffs, dents or marks
- Discolouration
- Cleanliness and residue
- Odour
- Maintenance indicators (including but not limited to filter lights)
- Overall upkeep and servicing standard
Brand New
The box and appliance are still sealed in the packaging and have never been opened.
Excellent
Fully functional
No Wear and Tear
No water damage.
Dyson must not be reported lost or stolen
Dyson appliance is a UK model with original hardware that has not been modified.
Battery health is a minimum of 80%
You must include all original accessories, if this option was selected when choosing your item to sell.
If you have chosen to send in the box and accessories, these must be original.
For the avoidance of doubt, “No Wear and Tear” means no visible scratches, scuffs, marks, dents, cosmetic imperfections, residue or maintenance indicators active at the time of inspection.

Does not power on, power cuts out or does not charge.
Physical damage to the main appliance including dents and cracks. This does not apply to attachments or accessories.
Connectivity issues on Wi-Fi and App enabled devices.
Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth fault
Appliance overheats.

Dyson appliance is a non UK model with hardware that has been modified.
Dyson must not be reported lost or stolen
You must include all original accessories, if this option was selected when choosing your item to sell.
If you have chosen to send in the box and accessories, these must be original.
We cannot buy your appliance if it is Barred, Stolen, has been tampered with, is missing internal components, is crushed, bent or structurally destroyed.
By submitting an order through our site you warrant that the appliance(s) comply with these terms.
Adjusted Orders
If appliance/device fails to meet our terms and conditions we will propose an adjusted price by email.
You will have 3 calendar days from the date of the adjusted offer email to respond.
Notice shall be deemed received when sent to the email address provided at booking.
Adjusted orders will be automatically processed for payment if you do not reply to our proposed offer email within 3 days.
If you choose to decline our new offer, we are happy to return the appliance however you will incur an admin and postal return fee of a total of £30.
An invoice to pay this fee will be sent by email.
If this is not paid within 5 working days, your item will not be returned and the adjusted price will be paid to you.
We will not enter into extended negotiation regarding grading decisions.
We have the final decision on all appliance values.
Data Risks and Precautions
Please remember that by sending your appliance to us, you agree to release us from all and any claims, losses or damages with respect to the appliance, any data stored or contained therein or on any media used in conjunction with the appliance (whether in the form of personal details, SMS, photos, games, songs or other data (“Data”)).
We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such Data and it is your responsibility to ensure, so far as practicable, that all Data is permanently removed from the device prior to you sending it to us.
You acknowledge and agree that once the appliance has been received by us, we may reset, wipe, repair, refurbish, dismantle, resell or dispose of the appliance at our discretion following completion of the sale.
Please note it may not be possible to delete Data directly from a non-functioning device. If you send us a non-functioning device you are therefore accepting the risk that it may still contain Data which may be accessible to any person who repairs the appliance. This may include third parties to whom we have sold the device for spare parts.
Please note that while (as stated above) we do not accept any liability in respect of the security, protection, confidentiality or use of Data included on any appliance, as a matter of practice we do not transfer any appliance to any third party except on terms which require them to wipe that Data.
Lost or Stolen, Counterfeit Appliance
Selling a Dyson appliance which you do not own or which is counterfeit may amount to a criminal offence. Sell My Dyson supports and adheres to the code of practice set by the Home Office.
We will check the Serial number of all appliances and devices received against stolen register databases of lost and stolen property records to ensure no lost or stolen items are purchased.
If the appliance is found to have a record indicating that it has been lost or stolen, or we become aware of any other issue relating to its ownership, we will notify the seller by email and quarantine the appliance for an initial period of 10 days (“the Quarantine Period”). Payment for the appliance will be withheld until the database no longer shows the appliance as stolen or lost.
In such circumstances you will be required to contact hello@stolenregister.com to prove that you are the rightful owner of the appliance and to have the lost or stolen records cleared within the Quarantine Period and/or resolve any other issue relating to its ownership.
If during the Quarantine Period the appliance is cleared on the stolen register database and any other issue relating to ownership is resolved, your sale will be processed and paid for as normal.
However, where the appliance is not cleared on the stolen register within the Quarantine Period, we will be required by law to hold onto the appliance, pass it to the Police or other law enforcement body or dispose of it, and by entering into this contract you expressly agree to this action. You will not receive any payment if such steps are taken.
UK legislation states that we cannot under any circumstances return or pay for an appliance which is lost, stolen or recorded as such unless endorsed in writing by the stolen register database and by such you agree to pay any return costs involved.
If you have received payment from us for an appliance which we subsequently become aware is subject to an ownership issue, you agree to immediately reimburse us in full, within 3 business days following written request, pending investigation by us or any law enforcement authority.
We shall be entitled to set-off any sums properly due and owing to us under any contract made between you and us incorporating these terms and conditions against any sums owed by us to you under the same or any other contract between us. We will inform you in writing of any set-off carried out pursuant to this provision.
If we at any time become aware of any issues relating to ownership of the appliance, you agree to co-operate fully with us to resolve the matter. You may be contacted by the Police and/or other law enforcement authorities.
We may disclose seller details to the Police or other authorised bodies (including, but not limited to, network operators and insurance companies) for the purpose of investigating or preventing a crime. By entering into this contract you expressly consent to such disclosure for the purposes of prevention and detection of crime, arrest and prosecution of offenders, or recovery of stolen property.
If the appliance is found to be counterfeit, fake, copy or non-genuine, your order will be cancelled and your item will not be returned. We will be required by law to hold onto the appliance, pass it to the Police or other law enforcement body or dispose of it, and by entering into this contract you expressly agree to this action. You will not receive any payment if such steps are taken.
Testing
Sell My Dyson is committed to providing accurate and reliable testing of all products. Our testing processes are conducted using calibrated equipment and standardised procedures to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
All appliances are photographed and/or video recorded during unboxing and inspection. These records are retained for internal verification purposes and constitute conclusive evidence of the condition of the appliance upon receipt.
Confidentiality:
To protect the proprietary nature of our testing methods and maintain confidentiality of our processes, we do not share detailed test reports with customers. This policy ensures our testing methods remain secure and that results are not misinterpreted or misused.
Customer Communication:
While we do not provide detailed test reports, we will provide a summary of test results and explain any findings that affect performance or valuation.
Pricing
Prices offered on our website are subject to change at any time without notice.
All prices include VAT (or other applicable tax).
When your order has been placed, the prices quoted are guaranteed for 10 days from the “Order Approved” date (being the date we send a confirmation email).
If your devices are received after 10 days from the “Order Approved” date, the updated current prices may apply.
Postage & Packaging
Our courier service may collect your item from your chosen address.
The appliance must be packaged in a box and packed properly and securely to ensure safe and successful delivery to us.
Risk remains with you until the appliance is physically received and inspected at our premises.
We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage of goods during transit by courier services or third-party providers.
As we are not the legal owner of the goods at the time of dispatch to us, our ability to make claims on your behalf may be impacted.
We recommend if you have an order of significant value that you use Royal Mail Special Delivery or an equivalent fully tracked and insured service.
Packaging Instructions
Use high-quality corrugated cardboard boxes. They can be single-, double- or triple-walled. We recommend double- or triple-walled for fragile or heavy (10kg+) items.
Make sure your box has enough surface area free to be labelled.
Use jiffy bags for small items.
Wrap items individually.
When sending a few items in one parcel, use dividers.
Use void filler like foam peanuts and bubble wrap to keep your items from moving around in transit.
Place your items in the middle of the box with a 5cm distance from walls and corners.
Use strong tape 4–5cm wide, such as nylon or vinyl tape.
Flatten any sharp edge from staples or metal fastenings, and cover with tape.
Seal securely along all edges and openings.
If reusing a sturdy box make sure all old labels and barcodes are removed or covered.
Make sure the label is on top of the parcel.
Include a returns address on the outside of the parcel.
Avoid re-using boxes that may have lost their strength.
Avoid using boxes with any tears, dents and corner damage.
Avoid using bin liners or cloth/fabric bags.
Do not leave hollow spaces in the box.
Do not over-pack or under-pack the box.
Avoid fragile items touching each other or the sides of the parcel.
Avoid using thin household tapes such as masking tape.
Avoid using string.
Avoid using staples.
Parcel dimensions must not exceed 15KG in weight, 150cm in height, 40cm in length and 40cm in width.
If your parcel exceeds these dimensions you must arrange delivery via another courier at your own cost.

Payments
We offer bank transfer or PayPal. The payment method selected at booking cannot be changed once the order is placed.
Once we receive and inspect your appliance and confirm compliance with these Terms, payment will be made within 1-2 working days (Monday to Friday excluding public holidays).
Payments can only be made to the account details provided at booking.
We cannot recall or reissue payments once made.
Any unlawful reversal, dispute or chargeback constitutes breach of contract and we reserve the right to recover associated costs and fees.
Events Outside Of Our Control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform or delay in performance of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control or due to compliance with applicable laws or regulations.
